Please note that patients may receive more than one bill for the services received in one hospital visit. In addition to the facility bill, you may receive one or more bills from other providers involved in your care and treatment. These providers include, but are not limited to:
- Attending Physician: the physician primarily responsible for your care during your visit;
- Radiologist: a physician who reads X-rays and provides a report to your attending physician;
- Pathologist: a physician who supervises laboratory tests and studies tissue samples;
- Anesthesiologist: a physician who gives anesthesia and performs related procedures; and/or
- Consulting physician: usually a specialist in certain diseases and body systems.
