Wireless Internet Access
Halifax Hospital Port Orange is pleased to offer wireless Internet access free of charge to visitors, patients and visiting physicians. This access is available throughout the facility, even in patient rooms.
If your laptop has wireless Internet capabilities, you should be ready to go! Older laptops may require a wireless access card (available at any computer store) which gets plugged into a slot on the side of the laptop. Most new models will include built-in wireless capability.
Due to the limited amount of technical resources available, we are unable to troubleshoot any wireless, software or hardware issues with you. Please contact your hardware or software vendor for assistance. Also, please note that this service is offered as a courtesy and is provided on a "best effort" basis with no guarantees of availability or security.
Food Services
A dietary hostess/host visits each patient daily to explain menu options and to help the patient choose his/her daily food choices. The host/hostess or the nurse delivers the food tray to the patient. Between meal sandwiches and snacks are available if the patient desires them and is not on a restricted diet.
The cafeteria is located on the second floor of the hospital and is available for employees, family members and visitors. The cafeteria fare includes hot items as well as salads, sandwiches and beverages. A quick-snack kiosk inside the cafeteria offers coffee and snack selections.
Flowers & Balloons
Visitors who wish to purchase flowers or balloons to cheer up a patient at the hospital will be able to do so in the main lobby, just inside the front entrance of the building. Our kiosk sells fresh flowers, a variety of plants and other get-well items. It is also possible to have items delivered to patient rooms. Visitors should inquire directly with the kiosk representative.
