Now, residents of Port Orange, South Daytona and surrounding communities have access to a modern, technically sophisticated hospital right in their own backyard thanks to the new Halifax Hospital Port Orange. Patients needing more specialized or acute care services (like Obstetrics, Neurosurgery or Open Heart surgery) will be transferred to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona, featuring a renowned, full service heart center, the only comprehensive stroke program in Central Florida and the only trauma center in the region.
